LA Vegan Beer & Food Festival Returns May 17 for Fifth

LOS ANGELES, March 19, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — To the delight of craft beer drinkers, vegans, foodies and just about every Southern Californian in between, the Los Angeles Vegan Beer & Food Festival is returning for its fifth edition May 17. Presented by the beer/food/music trifecta, Tony’s Darts Away, Quarry Girl and Nic Adler of The Roxy, this year’s lineup will feature more than 40 breweries, 30+ food vendors and local bands.

“This is my favorite festival of the year because it started as an idea close to the hearts of those who put it on and has grown organically to something that is embraced by people throughout LA,” said Tony Yanow, owner of Tony’s Darts Away. “It’s super gratifying for us to see so many happy faces enjoying the day and know that their experience is what makes this festival what it is.”

Before diving into the line-up, a reminder on what the event is – a day-long state of euphoria replete with coveted (vegan) California craft beer, mouth-watering vegan fare from Los Angeles chefs and restaurants and soul-feeding live music. As Nic Adler of The Roxy puts it, “Going to festivals is about two key elements – enjoying things you love and discovering new ones. That’s what LA Vegan Beer & Food Festival is.”

“Not just for vegans, it’s the perfect event for anyone to enjoy craft beer, local music, and the best plant-based food that Los Angeles has to offer,” said Quarry Girl, co-presenter and expert on all things vegan.

The trio of co-producers has curated the following collection to charm the senses:

Beer: Golden Road Brewing, El Segundo, North Coast, Stone Brewing, Modern Times, Ballast Point, Smog City, Automatic, Sierra Nevada, Firestone Walker and many more.
