Vegan Event: Sustainable, Healthy and Compassionate Choices at VegMichigan’s VegFest
NOVI, MICH. — VegMichigan presents VegFest 2014, the largest one day, indoor, vegan event in the country. VegFest works to educate the public about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle for human health, the environment and the well-being of animals. Enjoy delicious vegan food, shop for unique, cruelty-free products, receive great information from nonprofit groups, take home name-brand product samples, see cooking demonstrations, and hear celebrity and expert speakers.
This family-friendly event brings over 150 exhibitors from all over North America and Europe with vegan specialty foods, eco-friendly products, cruelty-free fashion, newly published books, inspirational art pieces and more. The food court will feature delicious vegan offerings to be enjoyed by omnivores, carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike from restaurants, bakeries, caterers and food companies.
Presenters featured at VegFest include film star Daryl Hannah, NBA Champion John Salley, cardiologist Dr. Joel Kahn and Michigan Senior State Director for The Humane Society of the United States, Jill Fritz. Attendees will enjoy vegan cooking demonstrations by professional chefs from Detroit Vegan Soul, Jazzy Veggie of Ann Arbor, and Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.
“Going veg is easier than ever before. You will become a healthier, environmentally caring, animal compassionate individual by simply changing to a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle.” Paul Krause, VegMichigan president. “If you could extend life, prevent illness, reduce pollution, conserve resources, save money and rescue animals, all in one simple step, wouldn’t you?”
